New to Lighthouse? In some places of worship, you can easily get lost in the crowds of people. We have found that at Lighthouse, “Everybody can know somebody!” In fact, we’re sure that soon, you’ll know lots of folks!

We hope you’ll feel warmly welcomed! Our church family is multi-generational, with a mixture of ethnic backgrounds. Dress tends to be casual, but there’s always a range from ties to jeans. Children in 3rd grade and up join in our general worship services; age-appropriate classes are provided for younger children.

We are Pentecostal. Worship services have a strong focus on preaching the Bible. Our music is contemporary with an occasional reaching back to an old favorite. Our goal is to glorify God and exalt our Lord Jesus Christ as we allow sensitivity to the move of the Holy Spirit. The principle distinctive of Lighthouse as a Pentecostal church is its belief in speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance and that this is the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

We are Charismatic. The charismata (Gk.) are gifts of the Spirit. The gifts can be divided into three categories: the gifts of revelation, the gifts of power, and the gifts of utterance or inspiration. The gifts of revelation are the gifts of the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, and the discerning of spirits. The gifts of power are faith, miracles, and gifts of healing. The gifts of utterance and inspiration are prophecy, tongues and interpretation. The Holy Spirit bestows these gifts and those who accept the validity of these gifts are called charismatic.

Greeters and ushers are available (as soon as you enter the double doors to the main sanctuary) to answer questions, give you a bulletin, and help you find a seat. If you have questions or need help at any time, look for one of these ushers and greeters – they can assist you with most anything.
